The Children and Family Ministry Team invites you to learn about the variety of ways your family can be involved and spiritually nurtured at Central Lutheran Church. We celebrate families of all types and know that God speaks to us in and through our children. We encourage you to join in one or more of our present ministries. We also hope you will suggest new ideas that are of interest to you. We meet regularly to advise and coordinate the ministries with families and children. We welcome you!
Worship
Children are welcome at worship. We believe children are essential to our worshiping community and we support and encourage children’s participation from the earliest ages. Please know that the nursery is there for those who wish, but it is not an expectation for your children during worship.Pew Bags
Keeping children occupied during worship can be a challenge. This service ministry offers an answer! The pew bag team sews fabric activity bags and fills them with age-appropriate activities to keep children engaged during worship.Sunday School
Join us for this Sunday morning ministry which shares Bible and faith stories with children from Central’s congregation and community. Hour-long classes focus on Bible-story curriculum, high-spirited music, inspiring worship and awesome special projects.Camp Amnicon
High adventure program experiences in the great outdoors, and exciting retreats highlight this outdoor outreach ministry that strives to connect the mission of the church and the care of God’s creation.Nursery
Children are always welcome at Central’s worship services. The nursery is for your convenience if you choose to use it. It is available for newborns through age three on Sunday mornings and for many special events. A childcare specialist is always present to offer loving care for your child.Cradle Roll
A wonderful curriculum designed for parents of newborns to incorporate spiritual development into the life of their child(ren). You’ll receive monthly packets of material with ideas for nurturing faith for the next three years.
