Central Lutheran Church, in the heart of the city, welcomes all people to celebrate, discover and share the love of Christ.
As a community of women, created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society and the world.
Meet with other members to discuss the texts for the following Sunday’s service each Friday at noon in the Fireside Lounge.
This group educates the congregation about the spiritual and physical needs of the global community by sponsoring weekly forums. They also help channel resources to the needs of the world.
Lifelong Learning
This group coordinates and plans educational events on a variety of topics for Central’s congregation and the surrounding community.
This group offers a monthly breakfast meeting for men to gather for fellowship and learning on topics of special interest.
OWLS enhances the lives of Central members aged 55 years and older by offering a variety of social, recreational, educational and spiritual programs.
Young Adult Bible Studies are held in the Fireside Room. Group discussions range from Biblical interpretations of balance (finding God in our daily, often busy, lives, making choices to acknowledge his presence) to balance in being a good local/global citizen, etc. For more information contact Carolyn Albert at 612-767-9203.
