Carillonneur David Johnson from The House of Hope Presbyterian Church in St. Paul, entertained the concert attendees and dozens of onlookers with a recital on the tower's bell carillon. The tuned bronze bells in the tower were cast in Annecy, France by the 250 year old bell-making company, Fonderie Pacard.

The Minnesota Orchestra, with the Central Choir and soloists Sally Messner and Aaron Larson, performed a commissioned piece by local composer Stephen Paulus. The five largest bells in the 139 foot tower were also included in the piece and could be heard tolling in the background while the orchestra played a hushed interlude.

Every seat in the Sanctuary was filled with members and friends of Central to give thanks to God and to dedicate the bell tower in His name. The bell tower was built with a 4.5 million dollar gift from an anonymous donor who is also a member of Central.

Soli Deo Gloria!
